LED Lights Last for Ages

LED Lights are Costly
While you’ll need to pay your electrician more for LEDs, this type of lighting uses less electricity and lasts much longer. It uses at least 75 percent less energy than traditional light bulbs. Currently, lighting makes up around 15 percent of an average household’s energy bill. It’s predicted that if you don’t change your lighting by 2025, it will account for 45 percent of electricity costs.
LEDs Don’t Get Hot
LEDs only emit visible light. While they do generate heat, they don’t generate it as infrared radiation like other types of bulbs. Infrared doesn’t contribute to the brightness of a bulb, it just makes the fixture hotter and wastes energy. Also, LEDs don’t emit ultraviolet light.
LEDs Aren’t Bright Enough
LED bulbs produce the same amount of light as traditional bulbs, but use less energy. You have plenty of options when it comes to LED bulbs. Some bulbs produce warm light like that of traditional bulbs, while the light cast by others resembles natural light.
LEDs Become Inefficient in Extremely Cold Conditions
LED bulbs actually become more efficient and last longer in cold environments. Very high temperatures can cause premature wear on electrical and electronic components, so you shouldn’t have any problem using LED bulbs in cold climates.
